This sweet piece was a gift for my mom a few years back.  It is stitched using floss on 18 count canvas. I mounted it in an oak bank.

Stitching with Lizzy continues into week 12.  I had planned to stop for the month after finishing the third alphabet but the rice stitch band just needed to be done.

It is time to start a new quilt -- this is a photo that is published at the website for the designer of both the fabric and the quilt design, Bonnie Sullivan.  Since the last quilt I made was from the same pattern, the "left over" fabrics and half-square triangles from the Woolie Churn Dash  are a great start for the basket quilt.  My plan is to go bigger with a layout that will be 5 by 6 and possibly 5 by 7 if I have enough fabric.

This sampler is pretty in the photos but it is much more beautiful in person ... I continue to stitch along with the group.

Stitching continues on my Elizabeth Mears Sampler... I have completed over half of the lovely bargello band.  I know several stitchers are working just a bit of each band in order to get the correct spacing and get down to the big house.  At the moment, my plan is to work each band - or in tandem with another band as the designer has suggested - before moving on to the next.

When the bargello band is done I will be on track to catch up with the stitching schedule --- at least until a March newsletter is posted!!

This morning I finished stitching the January ornament from the Christmas Ornament of the Month Club.  This cute ornament came as a kit that included the painted canvas, stitch guide, and threads.  I believe that this series is currently exclusive for Family Arts.

There hasn't been much progress on my version on Elizabeth Mears - but, something is better than nothing.  I did find a set of super strong tiny magnets that I'm quite happy with.  In the photo the little bubble shows the magnet that I found at The Container Store.  There are 16 in a pack for less than $10 (on sale) I can have them on every project!!

It's always nice to have a project that requires very little thought and no chart -- this little canvas by Chili is perfect.
